Honor Native Land: A Guide and Call to Acknowledgment - In some countries, and among tribal nations in the U.S., it is commonplace, even policy, to open events and gatherings by acknowledging the traditional Indigenous inhabitants of that land. While some individuals and cultural and educational institutions in the United States have adopted this custom, the vast majority have not. Together, we can spark a movement to change that.

Matika Wilbur: Project 562 - A multi-year national photography project dedicated to photographing over 562 federally recognized tribes in The United States resulting in an unprecedented repository of imagery and oral histories that accurately portrays contemporary Native Americans.

Michigan-Related Treaties 1795-1864 - In most of these treaties land was ceded by Native Americans to the federal government, which in turn surveyed the land and made it available for purchase or disposed of the land in some other way. These treaties continue to define the legal relationship between the United States of America and the tribal nations whose leaders signed the agreement.

National Archives: American Indian Treaties Database - The series, "Ratified Indian Treaties, 1722–1869" has been digitized in full and made available online through the National Archives Catalog. Digitized treaties can be explored by date or by tribe. 

Michigan Tribes: Native American Perspectives on History and Today - The Native American population is among the youngest and fastest-growing populations in the United States. More than 60,000 Native Americans live in Michigan. Michigan is home to 12 federally recognized tribal nations as well as representatives from many other tribal nations.

Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture and Lifeways - The Ziibiwing Center is a distinctive treasure created to provide an enriched, diversified and culturally relevant educational experience.
