Photography and Profile Portraits
University Communications is focused on providing a dynamic, honest and intricate look at life at Central Michigan University. The content we create represents the lives, studies accomplishments, and shared experiences of CMU students, faculty, staff and alumni. Visual content is crucial in representing brand pillars and leadership standards.

Due to the limited availability of our photography students, we ask that you provide 8 to 10 days of lead time in order to successfully plan, schedule and execute the assignment. We may not be able to accommodate requests within that timeframe. Student photographers are available in the fall and spring semesters by appointment only.

Graduating soon? Taking part in career fairs? Needing an updated CMU department photo? Media Graphix will offer weekly profile portrait sessions. Every Tuesday and Thursday, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, on a walk-in basis, till November 21. If our walk-in availability does not work with your schedule, please use the form above to submit your Profile Portrait request with a specific day and time.
To have your profile portraits taken, please bring your student/staff/faculty ID and number. If you are staff/faculty and your department is paying for your photos, please have your department's cost center and general ledger numbers.
- Cost and Delivery: $15.00 to receive 6 headshots
- Where: Media Graphix, UC 205
- When: Tuesday's and Thursday's, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Please note, Media Graphix will not be able to process cash, debit, and credit card payments. Payments must be made with a CMU account, or department cost center.
Important information
Deliverables
• Receive a link to your images within 3-5 business days unless notified.
• Image quantity varies by event activity level, duration and photographer availability.
• CMU faculty and staff may request downloads of images for official use by visiting Central Michigan Photo Source.
Photo release
The organizer will be responsible for helping to obtain access to subjects and obtaining/completing a Photo Release Form prior to your event.
Payment
Full payment is due prior to your event. Upon receipt of deliverables, the job is considered complete and the client is responsible for accessing and downloading images for distribution. Any additional time must be submitted as a separate request.
Cancellations
Students are not available during holidays or university closures. In the event of a campus closure, we will coordinate with you on the next available time to photograph your event.
If your event is rescheduled or cancelled, no refund will be issued. A cancellation fee of $25.00 will be applied. No call/no shows for an event will result as a cancellation.
