Device security
Securing laptops, desktops, cell phones, tablets, and other electronic devices is essential to protecting personal, professional, and academic information and content. These devices commonly store and provide access to important documents, saved passwords, financial records, sensitive data, communications, confidential documents, and more. Without proper security, they become vulnerable to unauthorized use and cyberattacks, potentially compromising your and/or CMU’s data. By taking steps to secure your devices, you reduce the risk of unauthorized access, data breaches, and identity theft, ensuring both your personal and professional information remains protected.
