OIT System Status

This page provides updates about interruptions and/or outages related to enterprise level hardware, software, and systems at Central Michigan University.

If the table below is blank, all systems are functioning as they should. If you are experiencing technology-related challenges with something that does not appear, please contact the OIT Help Desk.

Status updates will be made as new information is available. If a system will be down for an extended period of time (days or weeks), the table will indicate as much. Once resolved, related information will remain on the page for three business days.

Tuesday, April 15, 2025 @ 9:00 a.m.Some Microsoft Teams channels not loading properly.Users reported that some channels were not loading within Microsoft Teams. The error read, "We're having trouble loading your messages. Try refreshing." Not all teams or channels were impacted, only some. 

Green checkmark within a green circle to indicate that the system, software, or hardware are working as they should.

11:00 a.m. - Microsoft acknowledged an issue with the preview version of Microsoft Teams that resulted in the interruption that some CMU users experienced. Fortunately, within the CMU community, only OIT staff utilize the preview version of Teams, so the impact was quite limited.

 

If you experience challenges similar to what is described, please quit Microsoft Teams and restart your device. If challenges continue, contact the OIT Help Desk.
