Title IV Authorization
Central Michigan University must receive the student's authorization to use Title IV funds for costs outside current tuition charges and mandatory fees that are associated with attending. To provide this authorization, students must complete the Title IV authorization/terms and conditions form. This form can be found in Course Search and Registration (Cmich login required).
Federal financial aid (such as Federal Pell Grant, Federal SEOG, TEACH Grant, and Federal Direct Loans) are used to pay for current tuition charges and mandatory fees associated with attending Central Michigan University. Upon receipt of each disbursement, Central Michigan University will apply your financial aid funds to your tuition and other allowable charges such as books and other course materials. In addition, students may incur other educationally related fees while attending Central Michigan University such as graduation fees, etc. Federal student aid may be used to pay for these expenses with the student's permission using the Title IV authorization/terms and conditions form.
Please note that if you do not authorize federal student aid to be used to cover these costs, you will be responsible for covering the costs using non-federal aid funds. Students may decline the authorization by reaching out to OneCentral to sign, complete, and mail in a form. If you decide to change or cancel the authorization, please reach out to OneCentral and the change will be in effect for future disbursements and cannot be made retroactively.
