Henry, Alex
Biography
Alex has worked with children aged 0-5 for most of her nearly 15-year career, moving into coaching and university roles in early childhood over the last 6 years. Before joining the Human Development and Family Studies Department at CMU, Alex taught Early Childhood courses at Ferris State University. Previously, Alex was a mentor teacher in Central Michigan University's Child Development and Learning Lab where she continues to co-lead study abroad. Prior to these university settings, Alex was an early childhood specialist and coach. She has also been an early childhood educator working with children in many settings including Head Start, an international school overseas, private childcare, and the aforementioned university lab school setting. She currently hosts international study trips intended for early childhood professionals and co-hosts professional development for early childhood educators. Alex holds a BS in Early Childhood and a MA.Ed in Training and Development.
