Biography
Andrew W. Brockman joined CMU as Assistant General Counsel in August 2019. Prior to joining CMU, he was employed at Janes & Backus PC in downtown Mt. Pleasant, practicing in a variety of areas of law including contracts, real estate, criminal defense, estate planning, and family law. Throughout law school, Andrew clerked for the Office of General Counsel as well.
Andrew received a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2017. He was admitted to practice law in the state of Michigan on October 31, 2017. While at Michigan State, he served as an editor on the International Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Michigan University in 2014.
Andrew currently serves as the Governance committee chair on the Mt. Pleasant Public Education Foundation Board of Directors and is Vice President of the People Helping People of Mt. Pleasant Board of Directors. When he is not working, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He loves to golf and enjoys attending community and sporting events.
