Biography

Emily McIntire graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2005. She has practiced nursing in various roles, including as a registered nurse in a critical care step-down unit, interventional physiatry, home infusion, and outpatient dialysis. She ventured into nursing education, starting as adjunct faculty in 2011 at Lansing Community College while earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Ferris State University in 2013. Emily became the Simulation Lab Coordinator at Michigan State University in 2013. Committed to lifelong learning, she earned her PhD in Nursing Science from Indiana University in 2024 and joined the Central Michigan University BSN program as an Assistant Professor.
