Biography

John Magee, is a higher education professional with over two decades of experience in international education and academic administration. He holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Leicester and has held key leadership roles at mid-sized private universities, where he led study abroad programs, developed international partnerships, and managed global initiatives in regions including Haiti, the U.A.E., and China. He has also contributed to international programming and global professional exchanges at Michigan State University.

With a strong background in designing innovative, student-centered international experiences, John is passionate about expanding access to meaningful global learning opportunities. He believes in a holistic, student-first approach and is excited to be part of a community that values collaboration, global engagement, and academic excellence. John is thrilled to support the growth of study abroad and to work alongside campus partners to strengthen international bonds and broaden the university’s global footprint.
