Maurer, Julie

Biography

As a Central Michigan University alumna, Julie’s career began in Ann Arbor with the University of Michigan Health System in Pulmonary Diagnostics. After returning to Mt. Pleasant, she worked for over 10 years in various capacities as a CMU employee, including 4 years as an Enrollment Specialist. Following a 3-year period working elsewhere, Julie returned to CMU’s Innovation and Online team as an Assistant Director of Enrollment. In this role, she is passionate about supporting a diverse population of students throughout their entire academic journey. Drawing from her own experiences as a non-traditional student and a parent of CMU students, Julie strives to create meaningful connections with students. She credits her success in providing excellent student service on the dedicated, student-centered team surrounding her. Sharing a common goal, she and her team help students in reaching their academic and career aspirations.

Outside of work, Julie spends most of her time with her daughters, extended family, friends, and her rescue chihuahua, Bosco. She also enjoys photography, live music, and beach vacations.
