Biography

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at CMU working both with the medical residents and students. I am also the 3rd year Medical Student Clerkship Director. I completed my residency at St.Joseph’s Mercy Oakland where I served as the Chief Medical Resident in Patient Quality and Safety. My undergraduate degree was done at the University of Windsor with an Honors in Biological Sciences. My medical degree was done at Ross University School of Medicine. I am active in clinical research and topics of interest including patient quality and safety, cardiology, and neurology. Notable research has been done on transitions of care, cancer screening for unprovoked VTEs , and clinical pathways . I am actively engaged with the residents and students on clinical research and case presentations. Significant speaker presentations include endocrinological disorders in males and opioid prescribing for the internist. I am a strong advocate for primary prevention with a key focus on nutrition and exercise.
