Vaillancourt, Kevin
MA, LPC, CAADC
Biography
Sometimes the most difficult thing to do is ask for help. Many people don't realize that it takes more strength and courage to ask for help than it does to try to "push through" an issue alone. I take a strength-focused approach to working with people and enjoy helping individuals reframe their thoughts and see things from a different perspective. By focusing on our strengths, past successes, and experiences, we realize that we can face new challenges as they come up.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Arts in Counseling, both from Central Michigan University. I enjoy working with college students. It is a privilege to work with, and see individuals navigate new situations, in a new environment, all while advancing their education. I also have extensive experience working with individuals who struggle with substance use concerns.
