Richards, Kristina

EXEC SECRETARY

Biography

Kristi Richards received her BFA in 2D Design with an emphasis on Photography and Painting and an Art History minor from Central Michigan University in 2015. Being a nontraditional student had its challenges as she also homeschooled her six children through her undergraduate studies. The hard work paid off and Kristi graduated magna cum laude.

Her artwork consists primarily of complex digital composites printed on aluminum or acrylic and explores domestic issues with a current focus on domestic abuse awareness. Kristi has shown her artwork both locally and nationally. The Park Library currently has a piece of her work in their permanent collection! Past shows include 2014 Art Walk in Mt. Pleasant, where she won Judges Choice; 2015 Michigan Fine Arts Competition in Birmingham; A Taste of Art at The Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder, Colorado; Fresh Great Lakes Juried Exhibit in South Haven.

In 2017, Kristi started teaching English online to kids living in China. She has lived in the Mt. Pleasant area for 14 years, but was raised in Dimondale, Michigan. She would describe her four boys and two girls as free spirits and they all enjoy camping, hiking, and exploring art as a family. At the CMU Museum, Kristi manages the accounts, ordering, scheduling, and payroll.
