Westerkamp, Lenna
Biography
Lenna Westerkamp earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, master's in nursing informatics, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ferris State University. Additionally, she earned a Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Ball State University. She has experience working in both rural and urban hospital settings on the medical-surgical floors. In 2019, Lenna took a position at Ferris State to be the Nursing Laboratory Coordinator where she coordinated activities in the skills and simulation labs for nursing students. Her past research efforts have focused on creating engaging learning activities for nursing students such as escape rooms and interactive videos. In the fall of 2024, she took a full-time faculty position in Central Michigan University's Traditional Nursing Program.
