Wendt, Mary
Lecturer of English
Biography
Mary Wendt is currently focusing on composition as a sociocultural linguistic practice and using the composition classroom as a space to help students understand the complexity of speech acts as sociocultural, write about the importance and power of language in their lives, and research ways that language impacts the world. Part of Dr. Wendt's research includes flipping the classroom and focusing on composition as a contemporarily robust and historically rich content area and moving away from composition as a skills-oriented course.
