Biography

Michael J Wolohan, M.D. is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who has practiced orthopaedics in Saginaw, Michigan for 31 years. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and went onto the University of Michigan for his medical degree. He did two years of general surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center before heading out to Boston for his Orthopaedic Residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program. He did three years of orthopedics (Participant Hospitals included Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Children's Hospital of Boston) followed by a six-month Chief Resident rotation at Brigham and Women's Hospital and another six-month fellowship rotation at Children's Hospital of Boston in Sports Medicine. He was the founder and a senior partner of the Saginaw Valley Bone and Joint Center which was founded in Saginaw in the 1990's. The Saginaw Valley Bone and Joint Center joined Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw Michigan in 2017. He served as Chief Team Physician at Saginaw Valley State University from 1990 until 2016, as well as a team physician for Nouvel Catholic Central over the years. He is active in his community serving on not for profit boards both locally and nationally. He is married, has six children and six grandchildren.
