Biography
Shu Guo earned a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from East China University of Science and Technology, a Master of Science degree (Organometallic Chemistry) from Heilongjiang University, a Master of Science degree (Synthetic Organic Chemistry) from Marquette University, and a Master of Library & Information Science degree from Wayne State University. Ms. Guo served as Science Librarian at the Kelvin Smith Library at Case Western Reserve University from 2009-2011. In January 2011, Ms. Guo was appointed as a tenure-track Assistant Professor/Science Librarian in the Library Research & Instruction Services Department at Central Michigan University. She was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in 2017. She has served as the Chair of Library Governance from 2017-2020 and from 2022-present. Ms. Guo’s research focuses on statistical analysis of library-collected information and data. She has published several research manuscripts in highly reputable library journals. Ms. Guo received the Marion E. Sparks Award (2013) from the Special Libraries Association(SLA), a Librarian Scholarship Award (2011) from the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), and an Excellence in Teaching Award (1989-90) from Heilongjiang University.
