Henry, Tammy
Biography
Tammy joined Central Michigan University in 2018. She started as an Enrollment Specialist for CMU Online, New Student Services. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Director of Enrollment for Online Student Services working with the College of Education and Human Services (CEHS). In her current role, Tammy enjoys assisting a wide diversity of prospective students by supporting them from their inquiry through the application process.
Tammy completed her undergraduate degree with the College of Education and Human Services in 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development with a concentration in Early Childhood. Throughout her undergraduate career, Tammy worked as a Student Assistant in the Mt Pleasant Admissions office. She enjoyed leading campus tours and meeting prospective CMU students and their families.
Prior to working in higher education, Tammy taught young children professionally for 10+ years. She has a passion for education and was a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Teaching for many years in the Grand Rapids Head Start program was a particularly rewarding experience.
Spending time with her family and exploring pure Michigan through traveling, camping, hiking, kayaking, picnics, beach days and bike rides are what Tammy enjoys doing in her spare time.
