Biography

Dr. Vaniawala is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and joined CMU as Core Faculty in October, 2017. He earned his medical degree from the Government Medical College, South Gujarat University, Surat, India. Dr. Vaniawala completed his residency at Michigan State University/Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI. Dr. Vaniawala has been board certified in Pediatrics since 2010. Dr Vaniawala proudly serves as a member of the 'Decision Skills committee' in the American Board of Pediatrics. This committee edits and writes questions for the certifying exams administered by the American Board of Pediatrics. He also served in the National Task Force that was responsible for the revision of 'Content specifications' that serves as a study-guide for pediatric residents as well as pediatricians who prepare for their Board examination. He has special interest in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist since graduation. Prior to coming to United States, Dr Vaniawala has worked as a Pediatrician in Kenya for 9 years, in Dubai for 2 years and also did an Observership in Pediatric Cardiology in Munich, Germany. He has vast international pediatric experience in various countries in the world and has a passion for imparting clinical skills and education for medical students and residents.
