Why This Program & What You'll Learn

Few things are as exciting as launching your own business and developing new ventures. Finding a great idea and making it come to life is both daunting and exhilarating.

Our undergraduate certificate in Entrepreneurial Studies will help you do just that. But it isn't only about starting new companies. Here, you'll learn how to identify problems and find innovative, workable solutions for many types of organizations.

You'll also develop business models and put those into practice. Your student-led company may win startup funding through our annual New Venture Competition. Many companies that have launched through this competition are still in business.

Many of your professors have built their own companies and helped others raise money and grow. They'll become your mentors, along with alumni and investors from Michigan and beyond. As they share their knowledge with you, you'll build your own experience through hands-on projects.
