Latin America plays a vital role on the world stage, and its people and cultures have had a profound impact on the United States. This program gives you insights into the forces that have shaped the region and a window into the experience of Latinos in the United States.

The 18-credit-hour certificate program is open to students in any major and to students not seeking degrees who are interested in expanding their cultural horizons.

Courses draw from departments across the university, from anthropology to history to political science. You can study everything from social structures in Latino culture to the archaeology of the Americas. You can even get credit and build practical skills through a real-world internship. And you’ll develop the cultural skills you need to succeed in the global marketplace.
