Our unique degree allows you to combine your interest and knowledge in fitness and sports with the exercise needs of people of all ages. With a physical activity specialist major, you'll have the foundational knowledge to pursue a career in fitness, recreation, wellness programming and coaching. You'll also be prepared to become certified as a strength and conditioning trainer.Program Highlights
With the physical activity specialist undergraduate program, you'll:
- Combine courses in psychology, health sciences, physical education, and recreation for a well-rounded skillset.
- Join a department accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA).
- Take advantage of our Center for Integrated Health Studies, a 50,000-square-foot facility that includes the Interprofessional Education and Practice Center, a space for hands-on training and simulations.
- Be advised with a 4-Year Plan.
