Fire Up All Night

The Office of Student Activities and Involvement brings Fire Up All Night to CMU! A free late-night event for all students from 10pm – 2 am in the Student Activity Center. It's a place where students can unwind, connect with friends and enjoy a vibrant campus atmosphere on a weekend!

Additionally, five registered student organizations will receive a grant of $2,000 for the spring semester to host their own Fire Up All Night.

Upcoming Fire Up All Night events:

Fall Fest Nov. 23 (10:00pm-2:00am) - Hosted by CMU Program Board, Student Government Association and Residence Housing Association

Late Night Breakfast Dec. 6 (8:00pm-12:00am) - Hosted by Student Activities and Involvement and CMU Dining

RSO event requirements and expectations:
  • Fire Up All Night grants are available to fully re-registered student organizations (RSOs, FSL, and Sport Clubs) only.
  • Event must take place in the Student Activity Center from 10pm - 2am.
  • Events must be planned for a Friday or Saturday.
  • Event must be free of alcohol and behaviors promoting drug or alcohol consumption. For example, there is not to be an “after-party” following Fire Up All Night
  • Fire Up All Night must be free of charge.
  • RSOs may not fundraise at Fire Up All Night or use Fire Up All Night as a fundraiser
  • Collaborators may only apply for one grant. For example, if the Euchre Club and Chess Club would like to host a Fire Up All Night together, they would receive $2,000.
  • Marketing must include the Fire Up All Night logo.
  • Event marketing must include Student Activities and Involvement as a co-sponsor. 
  • Collaborators may only apply for one grant per event. Additionally, Student Government Association, CMU Program Board and Residence Housing Association may not be a primary sponsor of an event; however, may collaborate on a submission.
  • Events requiring contracts and signed agreements should be processed with Amy McDonald (mcdon1ak@cmich.edu) as soon as possible and at least 30 days in advance.
  • Fire Up All Night should be unique and engaging. Don’t be afraid to challenge the status quo when planning your event request. 
  • A budget meeting between the RSO event coordinators and Student Activities and Involvement should occur at least 30 days before the event.

RSOs must submit event proposals by Nov. 22, 2024.
