Welcome to Celani Hall

Celani Hall, part of our East Community, offers a premium suite-style living experience with four-person suites that include individual bedrooms, two bathrooms and a shared common area for studying or socializing. With its convenient location near the Student Activity Center, Celani Hall combines comfort and accessibility for students. East Community halls, including Celani, remain open during Thanksgiving, semester and spring breaks, ensuring housing during breaks for residents who need it.

Cost per semester* $4,221.00

*Please note that this rate covers housing only. Students are also required to select a meal plan, which will determine the total cost of housing and dining for the semester. Room rates for the 2025-2026 academic year will be announced after the CMU Board of Trustees approves them in the spring of 2025. Stay tuned for updates on next year’s rates and meal plans.

Celani Hall features

Each room features:

  • Twin-XL bed: Each resident has a Twin-XL bed (36"W x 80"L) that can be lofted (up to 64" of under-bed storage).
  • Dresser: Each bedroom includes a dresser with three drawers (36"W x 24"D x 30"H) for personal storage.
  • Desk with hutch: Every resident has a desk (42"W x 24"D x 30.5"H) with a hutch (42"W x 12"D x 30"H) for organized study space.
  • Closet (no doors): Each bedroom includes an open closet (2'6"W x 2'D x 6'6"H) for easy access to your belongings.
  • Internet: Convenient Wi-Fi access with Ethernet connectivity.
  • Shower curtain and window curtains: Essential privacy accessories provided for comfort.
  • No university furniture in shared living room: Shared living rooms are unfurnished, allowing residents to personalize as desired.

Residence hall includes:

  • Access to kitchenettes: Each floor provides kitchenettes, allowing residents to prepare meals or snacks as needed.
  • Accessible accommodations: Options are available to support residents with specific accessibility needs.
  • Air conditioning available: All suites are climate-controlled for year-round comfort.
  • Home to returning and transfer students: A community designed to support upper-level students and help build lasting connections.
  • Co-ed living by suite: This hall offers co-ed living with single-sex suites for privacy and comfort.

    • Residential dining at Dine & Connect: Enjoy an all-you-care-to-eat dining experience located within the community, featuring a variety of food stations and open 7 days a week.

    • East Success Center: Located in the Saxe-Herrig-Celani lobby, the Success Center offers support from a Care Advocate and an Assistant Director of Residence Life.
