New scholarships available for Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students
The Calkins Scholarship has two scholarships available for incoming students of any major in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies. Send an unofficial transcript and intended major to ges@cmich.edu by March 15 for priority consideration, applications accepted thereafter.

The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies in the College of Science and Engineering at Central Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sustainability beginning August 2025. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service and will provide mentoring for students in the award-winning Central Sustainability program.
