Dr. Matthew Quast earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree with a major in the Science of Advanced Materials. While a graduate student, Dr. Quast helped his professor develop chemical technologies and advance class materials for undergraduate students. He is currently employed as the GM Resident Engineer on behalf of Henkel Corporation. Henkel is a global manufacturer of industrial products including Loctite adhesives, All laundry detergents, and Dial soap.

Dr. Quast maintains an active relationship with CMU and has been hiring the support of students for research projects with the hope to provide learning experiences from real world commercial applications.
