Honorary Alumni Award
Audrey Zavodsky-Fraser
Audrey Zavodsky-Fraser and her late husband, Richard Zavodsky, '76, have been loyal supporters of CMU Athletics for years – not only through their financial support but through their active engagement with CMU coaches and players.
When Rich died in 2018, Audrey established the Dr. Richard J. Zavodsky Endowed Scholarship in Teacher Education, with preference given to first-generation college students and to early childhood development and learning majors.
Although not an alumna herself, Audrey is outspoken about the connection and sense of community she feels with CMU. She says she has always felt a part of CMU and notes that CMU is special because of the sense of community and the way student-athletes and coaches care for each other.
Audrey is an 1896 Society and Chippewa Athletic Fund member, a football season ticket holder and a vocal proponent of giving to CMU. She frequently talks about the charitable investments she has made in the university’s campus and students.
She has given more than $96,000 to CMU, including a $50,000 contribution to the Chippewa Champions Center. Her generosity and goodwill are an inspiration, and she is a tremendous asset to the CMU community.
The Central Michigan University Alumni Association is honored and proud to announce Audrey Zavodsky-Fraser as the recipient of this year’s Honorary Alumni Award.
