Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor bestowed upon notable alumni of Central Michigan University who bring credit to the University by personal accomplishment, professional achievement, notoriety, or community service activities. This award recognizes alumni who achieve professional excellence and make meaningful contributions to Central Michigan University.

Criteria

Recipients will possess an earned degree from Central Michigan University and meet the following criteria:

• Professional and/or Personal Achievement: The recipient has attained prominence through efforts in commerce, industry, technology, the professions, agriculture, the arts, education, government, military, sports, or other worthy endeavors that form a record of exemplary accomplishment.
• Recognition of Central Michigan University: The recipient's deeds and actions reflect positively on Central Michigan University.  
• Service and Support to CMU: The recipient shows loyalty to the University, as demonstrated through their interest in and support of its students, faculty, or alumni.
