Authorized Payers

Find information about the authorization of third-party payers, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), and instructions for how to set up a QuikPAY account.

FERPA

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) protects the privacy of individual students by placing certain restrictions on the disclosure of information contained in university records.

In order for the Student Account Services and University Billing Office to release billing information to any third party (including parents), a student must first grant permission.

QuikPAY

You may authorize an individual access to your electronic billing account by clicking the Authorize Payer link in QuikPAY and following the prompts. Individuals authorized to access electronic billing information and receive monthly billing statement notifications may also inquire with Student Account Services and University Billing staff about their students' accounts.

It is each student's responsibility to delete the user account* for any individual they no longer wish to authorize access for.

*When authorized payers establish a QuikPAY Payment Plan, their accounts may not be deleted for 30 days following completion of the agreement term.
