How to apply
Applying to CMU is straightforward. Head over to our How to Apply page for step-by-step instructions and important deadlines. For summer and fall semesters, aim to apply by April 1 and for spring, by December 1. The earlier you apply, the better your chances are for scholarships and housing options.
Transfer Visit Days
Join us for Transfer Visit Day to explore campus, connect with admissions and get financial aid support. You'll receive an unofficial transfer credit evaluation and take part in a campus tour led by a current CMU student.
Scholarships
There are several scholarships available to help ease the cost of your education. As a transfer student, you’ll be automatically considered for merit-based scholarships when you apply—no extra application needed. For priority consideration, submit your application by April 1.
Connect with a transfer coordinator
Have questions about the process? Our transfer coordinators are here to help. Whether it's about your credits, application details, or academic advising, they’ve got the answers you need.
Ready for orientation?
New Student Orientation is required for all degree-seeking transfer students. Once CMU has received and processed your enrollment deposit, you can reserve your orientation date. Complete a few self-paced steps and choose between virtual or in-person sessions. Space is limited, so be sure to register early. Reserve your spot through your applicant portal.
Online programs
Have questions about online programs? Whether you're wondering how to become an online student or what the experience is like, an online student service representative is here to help.
